First Train from Clearwater Arrives in Mara

By Frederic “Flash” Williams

The first train from Mara arrived at 11:15am today in Clearwater mark the opening of the extension of the line that was just recently completed between Mara and Clearwater. This marks the completion of the first mayor expansion of the line since the line opened in 1917. It seemed that the whole town showed up to welcome the crew of #12 and most of then stayed to watch them carry out their work and leave town. Once train #12 left town to return to Mara most of the men went to the Clearwater Saloon to celebrate this momentous occasion.
